Enago, our parent brand just turned 20. We are Celebrating!

Something worth celebrating happened last week: Enago, Trinka AI’s parent brand, turned 20 years old on December 18.

But this milestone isn’t really about us. It’s about the 2 million+ researchers across 125 countries who trusted a young company back in 2005 with something precious: their words, their ideas, their life’s work.

When Enago started, academic publishing was a different world. Researchers struggled to bridge language barriers. Getting published felt like an uphill battle, especially for non-native English speakers. The tools we take for granted today—AI-powered writing assistance, instant grammar correction, consistency checks—didn’t exist.

Fast forward two decades. We’ve learned that while technology has transformed how we work, the why hasn’t changed: brilliant research deserves to be understood, regardless of where it comes from or what language was spoken at the breakfast table that morning.

That’s exactly why Trinka exists. We’ve taken 20 years of understanding what researchers actually need, and over the past few years, built an AI tool that works the way you do—catching not just grammar mistakes, but understanding academic tone, subject-specific language, and the nuances that make your writing publish-ready.

“We feel deeply grateful and privileged to have served scholars around the world through Enago, and we’re honored to continue that mission through Trinka as we help shape the future of academic writing,” said Crimson founder Sharad Mittal. That gratitude drives everything we build at Trinka—every feature, every update, every tool designed to make your publishing journey smoother.

Twenty years. Millions of manuscripts. Countless breakthroughs that might have stayed locked behind language barriers. We’re honored to have played even a small part in your success.

To every authors who has trusted us with their words—thank you. Your success is why we’re here, and why we’ll keep innovating.
