RSC Manuscripts

More than 10,000 manuscripts submitted to Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) journals have now been screened by Enago Reports, marking a significant milestone in the partnership focused on improving the manuscript submission experience for authors.

Designed to streamline the submission process, Enago Reports automatically checks manuscripts for compliance with journal requirements, including structure, references, figures and tables, anonymisation, and other technical criteria. Authors can then correct any identified issues and re-upload their files before submission and editorial assessment.

“We are thrilled to have reached this milestone in such a short period of time,” says Abhi Arun, CEO of Enago. “Since implementation in March, Enago Reports has helped thousands of authors address technical errors upfront, enabling more compliant and complete submissions.”

Supporting authors through collaboration

The first phase of this rollout has focused on helping authors navigate journal requirements more effectively while supporting editorial teams to receive higher-quality submissions. As adoption continues to grow across RSC journals, future enhancements will focus on expanding manuscript checks, improving usability, and delivering even greater value to authors and editorial staff.

Jane Hordern, Royal Society of Chemistry Journals Customer Services Manager, said: “We are really pleased with the positive feedback we have received from users so far. Authors have told us that Enago Reports has made the submission process smoother and quicker – that is extremely important to us as we continue working to deliver the best possible author experience.

“The fact that more than 10,000 manuscripts have already been screened using this free-to-use, optional tool highlights the strong demand for this kind of tailored technological support. By enabling researchers to check manuscript completeness and compliance at the outset, Enago Reports has helped streamline the submission process for everyone involved and has already become a valuable addition to our resources for supporting our incredible community of authors.”
