The Trinka AI Desktop Application is available as part of the Premium & Premium Plus subscription plans only.
To install the Trinka Desktop Application, click the button and installation file. Once the file is downloaded, run the installer and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
The Trinka Desktop App work on most basic configuration of laptops and desktops with Windows 10 or higher.
The Trinka Windows Desktop App supports currently supports writing and editing in Microsoft Word only. Support for other applications is coming soon.
Trinka AI supports English grammar correction, including both American English and British English, for the desktop application. Support for Spanish grammar checker will be available soon.
If the desktop application fails to load or is unable to detect errors, you’re the following steps:
- Check if the installation was completed properly.
- Go to the start menu, search for “Trinka” app, and click/open the app to initiate it.
- Check for the Trinka Icon in the system tray and double click it to initiate.
- Ensure that you are signed in to your Trinka Account and on a Premium or Premium Plan.
- Ensure that you have your document open in a compatible Windows App (it currently works on MS Word only. Support for other apps is coming soon).
- You may also try reinstalling the app.
- If the issue persists, you can contact Trinka Support for assistance.
Check if you have the track-change feature on. We recommend that, while checking for grammar using the Windows Desktop App, you turn off the track change feature in MS Word to avoid error alignment issues. For more assistance, you can contact Trinka Support team.
The Trinka Windows Desktop App gets updated automatically so that you can get the most recent version of Trinka’s powerful features.
The Trinka Windows Desktop App is a faster and powerful application that offers the convenience of editing your documents within the native applications, preserving formatting and working in multiple apps without the need for copy-paste. The MS Word Add-in, on the other hand, is an extension integrated directly into Microsoft Word, providing Trinka’s grammar correction features within the Word interface only.
While you can have both of them installed in your system, we recommend to use either one at a time to avoid any inconvenience.
